Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

SecurityXP ("we", "us") publishes cybersecurity news and analysis at securityxp.com. This policy explains what data we process when you visit the site, and the choices you have. The short version: we run no user accounts, we sell no data, and analytics only runs if you consent to it.

What we collect

Analytics (optional, consent-based)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read. Analytics cookies are not set unless you accept them via the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics identifiers are stored on your device. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

Newsletter

The Security Digest newsletter is operated through Kit. If you subscribe, your email address is stored by Kit to deliver the newsletter. Every issue contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address from the mailing list.

Contact form

Messages sent through our contact page are delivered via Web3Forms and arrive in our editorial inbox. We use your name and email address only to respond to your message.

Local preferences

Your theme choice (dark/light) and your cookie-consent decision are stored in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention, as virtually all web hosts do.

What we don't do

  • No user accounts, profiles, or tracking across other sites.
  • No sale or sharing of personal data with advertisers.
  • No advertising networks are currently active on this site.
  • Our interactive security tools (CVSS scorer, password analyzer, sandbox) run entirely in your browser โ€” nothing you enter into them is transmitted to us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost none, this usually means a newsletter unsubscribe or asking us to delete a contact-form email โ€” reach us via the contact page and we'll handle it promptly.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted in the newsletter.
